We use Fine Italian Brass that is specifically created for Jewellery and has a golden lustre. Brass is made from copper and zinc and like silver a natural patina will develop over time giving it a matte finish. To restore the highly bright, polished finish follow the easy care instructions that come with every ORA piece, which applies to the cleaning for your silver and gold jewellery too.

Jewellery by nature is delicate and general wear and tear can happen. If your ORA piece needs repairing it will be our pleasure to repair it for you. If the damage is from general wear and tear within 6 Months of Purchase, upon our inspection and determination, we may repair your piece at no charge. After this however there will be a repair fee charged to the customer. This amount will only be determined after inspection of your ORA piece.

Please note you will be responsible for all courier fee’s involved in the repair process.
If you have lost or damaged a piece of your ORA Jewellery, please contact us and we will try our best to help!

Custom Made Jewellery

Yes! The process is still the same and everything can be done digitally through Zoom, FaceTime or a Whatsapp call. During the sourcing process we will send you imagery, videos and copies of all the certifications if applicable so you can ensure they have the desired outcome.

We use DHL to ensure safe delivery of all international orders, and shipping costs are around R 1000. You will however still be liable for customs and tax on arrival in your country.

We accept Electronic Transfers (wiretransfer) for all online order. Should you prefer to pay with a Credit Card, we can send you a Yoco Payment Link for online payments. Note that there will be a 5% surcharge for Card Payments to cover the fees.

We don’t like to put a set time line to this process as we don’t want to limit the magic of our collaborative creative process! Though general guidelines are

  • Concept (if required): 1 -2 Weeks
  • Design: 1 – 2 weeks
  • Creation: 1 – 2 weeks.

If you need your Custom Made piece within a shorter lead-time please contact us to discuss the needs and timelines, and we will do our best to make it happen!

Returns & Exchanges

You are very welcome to return your Jewellery within 14 days of delivery. All Pieces need to unworn and in their original packaging.

You will be responsible for all courier fee’s involved in the returns process. Returns will only be exchanged for store credits, which can be used towards future purchases.

Yes! As long as you have proof of purchase that it was bought online and in original packaging, then we can exchange your item. Please follow the instructions above.

Yes, We will gladly resize the ring. We charge R 100 for silver & brass, and a minimum of R 250 for gold (Price is subject to gold price fluctuations and the amount of gold needed for the larger size).

You can arrange for the ring to be delivered to our studio, or We can arrange shipping for you at a return fee of R200.00. Please email us should you need us to arrange the courier.

We only accept exchanges for pieces purchased from our online store and will not accept any returns for purchases from one of our retail partners. If you purchased from a retail partner, please contact them directly to discuss your options.

If you are unable to contact the Retail Partner, please email us to so assist you with your options.

Our brass chains are plated in 14ct gold and require additional care. Should the plating come off within 6 months we will replace the chain for you.

Should you notice a manufacturing defect, please email us within 7 days of delivery so we may assist you with your options.

We however can’t take responsibility for broken chains as they are delicate and need to be handled with care.

Unless otherwise stated, All of ORA Jewellery pieces are made to order, so please allow for 10 to 15 working days before the order is dispatched. Once dispatched please allow for 2-4 working days for delivery depending on your location.

If your order is urgent or you special request regarding your order then please contact us for timelines and alternative options.

As soon as we have shipped your order, you will receive a tracking number & link for your parcel via email.

Please allow 24 hours for the carrier to update their records before you begin to track your order.

We use a trusted and reliable courier service that will deliver to your door.

All of our Jewellery pieces come in branded ORA Jewellery pouches, which we recommend you use to store your Jewellery in when note wearing.

Custom Made engagement rings come in beautiful ring boxes.

We love shipping all around the globe. Please note that when sending internationally our shipping fee does not include any customs, import duties and any additional taxes and fees that your local government may require. This can range from 20% to 40% of the order value. You will be responsible for any additional charges, which are beyond our control.

Your order will be shipped from Cape Town, South Africa, with an official invoice declaring the exact total of merchandise purchased in South African Rands. We will not declare goods as a gift or lower the value. This protects both you and us the shippers in the event of losses or unforeseen circumstances.
